Do you charge for shipping?
No. All shipping with Advanced Blind Systems is free of charge.
How long will it take to receive my blinds?
Typically your blinds will be ready for your free installation within 1 to 2 weeks.
When will you charge my credit card?
All products are custom made to order and payment is required prior to order production. If payment is made with a credit card 50% of your order is charged to your card at the time your order is placed. The remaining balance is due on completion of installation.
Is there a charge for your in-home consultation?
No. There is absolutely no charge for us to come to your home and share our thoughts and ideas.

What is the difference between room-darkening, opaque and blackout shades?
Opacity deals with the level of privacy afforded by a window treatment, but does not necessarily refer to the darkening qualities of the product. An opaque shade gives the best privacy, while semi-opaque materials allow more light diffusion into the room. Light-filtering materials do just that - filter the light and offer some UV protection, but little more.
A room-darkening material blocks light penetration through the fabric. However, the stray light entering around the edges of a normal window covering treatment is completely normal and does not have anything to do with the room-darkening qualities of the product.
Blackout products are sometimes also referred to as room-darkening, but there are a few products available which do offer total "blackout" of light. These products will require the installation of additional hardware and trim around the edges of the product to control the stray light. These additional items may detract from the aesthetics and beauty of the product, and may not be feasible for residential use.
How long after I place the order will the job be completed?
Usually within 2 weeks
What is the most efficient blind for "energy efficiency"?
The honeycomb or cell blind has an R rating up to 5. These are highly efficient blinds.
Can I get motorized blinds with a remote control?
Yes! You can get a motorized blind hard wired or one that runs on batteries.
Tell me about your warranty
All blinds have a limited lifetime warranty excluding abuse. A copy of the warranty will be provided upon request.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes we do. We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and Paypal.
Do you do imperfect window shapes?
Yes we do. A template may be needed. Most companies charge for this. Advanced Blind Systems does not.
